Calling control towers

I'm guessing I need to.contact control towers being with 5 miles of a class d airport. I have a hospital heli pad and a few others. I have googled phone numbers but no luck. Any ideas trying to keep it safe

Welcome to the forum.

No you do NOT call ATC. The "5 mile rule" went out the window last year. You now use LAANC or DroneZone (DZ if LAANC is unavailable) to get authorization if you're flying in CONTROLLED AIRSPACE.

I've been flying drones for over a year used to have softwere that ask all my flight info and sent it in. I would rather be safe then sorry. Thank you for the info.
