Can mavic 1 swap in tue 1inch sensor of mavic2?

News is the mavic2 will have interchangeable cameras between the 1 inch sensor and the zoom

I wonder if it will be possible to swap the mavic 1 camera for the mavic2 cameras

Would sure beat buying a new drone just for a camera

It's probably not impossible but the cost would make it unrealistic.
There are many more differences likely to cause problems.
For a start the mounting location won't have enough clearance and is attached in a completely different manner.

It's for this very reason you won't be able to!
If, for some miracle you could, you may as well just buy the M2 for what it will cost, as 4wd points out.

There's no way DJI would push out their new drones but make it easy to fit their most prominent (and sought after) features into the old ones or people would just buy the Mavic Pro and do as you are asking.

These companies are so clever when they bring out new tech. They make sure to implement new batteries, ways of charging and, understandably, any other way to maximise the $£$£$£.
