I'm wrestling with the two battery options for the M5P. I travel monthly from May to September to the States for motorcycle trips and want to incorporate some drone footage in my Insta360 videos. I've read the FAA regs for recreation and then Foreign operator regs for tourists. It seems that in addition to registering it with the FAA and getting the TRUST certificate the drone has to broadcast the RID which means the Battery Plus. Sadly using that one 'really' puts me over the limit in Canada as opposed to just a 'little bit' over with the Standard Battery.

Looking for some insight from other Canadian flyers who travel to the US.

Not Canadian but we have several M5P pilots reporting the standard battery transmits RID here in the US so you may not have an issue.
