I have NEVER successfully updated my RTC home position in flight. Always get the "GPS signal too weak" error.
RTC home position has never successfully updated automatically (when set to do so during Follow Me on my bike, walking or boating) or manually.
The latest attempt and failure was this past week while simply walking along a river while A/C overhead was enjoying 17 satellites in range. No tree cover, no buildings.
No RTC update joy when flying with an iPhone 6s, iPhone 8, or this past week my Crystalsky monitor. Even tried connecting an external Bluetooth GPS device to my iPhone 8. The device's app reported strong GPS signal. The A/C reported strong GPS signal. RTC update failed due to alleged weak GPS signal.
This is important to me! I often fly from my boat at Indian Lake, Ohio (can't have the A/C attempting emergency landing thousands of feet away) or while walking along the Scioto River in Columbus, Ohio.
What am I missing?
