Can't get a quality video to fb or YouTube

Ok I have a 128 Samsung evo plus sd card and videos look awesome in iMovie on my MacBook. One I put them on Facebook or YouTube they look like crap! Please help!

Please post a link to some examples so we know what the problem is.

What are your video settings? What resolution are you exporting them at?

Settings are whatever they are set at as it comes out of the box.

Any time videos are uploaded they are often re-encoded... so if you encode the videos in the services native settings there is less lose of quality and faster uploads. For youtube see the following:
