Good luck, not much in the way of discounts on drone gear in Oz.
I know a bloke that sells DJI gear, he has to take on new non drone related products due to very slim margins.
The best thing to do is get onto Google and search like billy-oh, open up suitable links and shop around.
Many retailers have to get them in to order, even Bunnings is a DJI seller would you believe.
(They don’t list the mini, but maybe worth asking when you get the lowest price, they would match it and mig HT even beat it by 10%, like their motto says.)
Probably best to by from DJI authorised retailers for the best warranty coverage.
Some messy stories about grey market and stolen goods being sold to unsuspecting buyers resulting in DJI blocking the activation and not honoring the warranty in the country of purchase.
The fly more combo at 799 is a better deal as you get 2 extra batteries, battery charging hub, case, propeller cages and extra blades and the necessary 18watt charger ( the normal mini doesn't include this)
The charger is important as the battery doesn't charge with any usb charger, it needs a higher wattage charger.
If you’re not in a rush to buy a Mavic Mini, watch the Johnny Appleseed GPS website every few weeks, because they have sales.
To celebrate their 20th Birthday last year in November, Johnny Appleseed GPS we're taking a massive 20% off all current prices on all products across their site (excluding DJI, which was 10% off current prices).
The Mavic Mini Fly More Combo was only $719 on pre-order.
Hit up Ozbargain and setup a search to alert you when any deals pop up. Also keep an eye out for coupon codes for the likes of Harvey Norman. I scored mine on presale at 10% off through them.
