I was mainly out to est some anti colision lights I brought off ebay for 2 bucks a piece

They look great!
But I don't think the police copter likes it much...
(Won't explain, not the right thread and don't wanna be called a attention seeker)
While I was at it, I made this video

Thanks to the lights I could see it farther and was able to do more stuff! Was cool and the footage was beautiful!

I wonder how it looks on a 4k tv...

Looks great for the night low light.
I've only ever flown once at night (we aren't allowed as rec pilots here), in a very remote inland Australia campsite, to record the campfire from directly above and maybe 80' up.

I don't think any police chopper even saw you really.
Can you imagine looking down (they'd be above you) and trying to even see a drone you know is there, all those lights in the background below ?

You should avoid that situation with all effort if one is in the area, come down to tree top height, land if necessary.
Even CSC if you need to over a safe place (parklands etc).

Happy flying, the old M1P can still do its thing.

Wouldn't CSC break the drone

Probably.
Better than an impact with a chopper that came in fast and low and right towards your drone though.
Hard enough to gauge that sort of thing during a day flight, probably almost impossible to have that situational awareness at night.

Anyway, it's a beautiful city at night from aloft.

Well now that u have posted the video on
You-tube don’t be surprised to hear from
The FAA…
Ur in violation of so many laws/ rules..
Flying over people ( unauthorized)
Flying at night ( unauthorized)
Ur probably bvlos
Good luck bud…
At this point
I had it
Won't hold back anymore
It's stuff like this that makes me tick
Cannot believe have to say to you
Do you see people walking in video ?
you read part where it say you need anti colision light to fly at night ?
where does it say you need authorized to fly at night
You say I probably fly bvlos

probably?
It's literally outside my house

I fly under 107..
U should take the trust test for rec pilots..
U need waiver from FAA to fly over people or fly at night..
What I’m telling u is if u get turned in “ which is
Likely, the FAA can impose a fine…

I tick u off huh..
Well I’m certainly not gonna lose sleep over it..
Better to be ticked off than ticked on….

Btw, those roads ur flying over, those cars on that road have people driving them right?
Therefore ur flying over people, not to mention
Multiple busy streets..
What happens if ur drone fails and crashes into a car…
Then ur gonna find out for sure u were breaking laws
