Code error 0x4000000

Thank you all for the heads-up on the Go-4 update.
My iPhone 7+ and iPad Pro said there was no new updates!! I had 4.1.12

I checked Apple’s App Store, and it showed the new 4.1.14.
Hmmm. I don’t know why it didn’t update.
In 4.1.12, I went to General Settings, About…and clicked “Check for update.” Even this did nothing.
I thought perhaps this was due to the information about the update: It only applied to Spark and Inspire 2. It didn’t say anything about Mavic Pro Platinum.

So, I uninstalled the Go-4 from my iPhone 7+ and iPad Pro.
I closed all apps, and did a soft re-boot of the devices. (Power+home button)
I re-installed the DJI Go 4 app.

The “Air Encoder error” is now gone !!!
I no longer have any errors!! :>)

Just in time. I am in the middle of sending it back.
Looks like my first drone flight will be tomorrow.
Wish me luck. :>0

And shame on you DJI for not keeping us updated.
Very poor customer service in the handling of this error.
 
Excellent news. I haven't had a chance to test either, though I did get the update installed. I will be interested to see if it resolves the disconnect issue as well.
 
After updating the DG4 from the App Store, the app would crash as soon as it connected to the aircraft. Rebooting the iPad did not help. Like UPTgrad, I uninstalled DG4 app, rebooted then reinstalled DG4. Everything works and the error message is gone.

Disconnects appear to be either cable or lightning port related. Hoping it’s the cable.
 
POSSIBLE SOLUTION

I received the same error (Code error 0x4000000) on my iPad (iOS 11) after updating DJI firmware to 1.04 and the app to 4.1.17

I connected my iPhone 7 (iOS 11.1.2) no errors.

I updated the iOS on my iPad from 11 to 11.1.2 bingo! No errors, everything is normal.

I agree it might be a firmware issue.

It would be helpful if I knew the OS people were using.

I use Android, Nougat,

Although there anecdotal reports of issues with Android, the postings here seem to be centered on issues with iOS.

If people posting issues would post the OS, it might be of use in sorting this out.

So, if you have the error code, please post your OS and what device you use for display.
I’m using 11.04 OS and I use an iPhone 8 and has the newest update...
