Controller holding Mobile device causing phone damage

Hi,
Not too sure if anyone experience this. I use my Samsung Note5 to attached to the controller holder, discovered that it causes the touch screen error on the phone later. Exactly two vertical rows corresponding to the clamping teeth of the phone holder, were no longer responsive to the S-Pen.

I since brought an external holder that clamps on the side of the phone.
I need to sent my phone for replacement of the LCD screen as according to the technician, the touch-screen is sensitive and can be damage if to much pressure is applied.

Perhaps I have pushed the phone too far back into the clamping zone onto the screen. Just to share to caution others.

There's no need to do much more than lightly hold the edge especially if you use a 'normal' USB lead and the bottom controller outlet. I prefer to only grip the top corners keeping phone further away from the controller as I suspect being in contact can cause issues.
