My Mavic Pro will not change from regular speed mode to sport mode, when manually switched on controller. why is that you think?

I took off yesterday with the sport mode switch in the on position accidentally. A message popped up about it but I missed it.
What I noticed is, if you take off with that switch on, it will take off in normal position mode. Even if you turn it off and back on it will not go into sport mode. You have to land and take off with the switch in normal mode then it will function as intended.
