Core board without thermal paste

Hi guys,

Just wanna share my experience when replacing core board on DJI service centre.
After the mavic repaired I was curious to see the new core board installed, I open the casing then surprised that the thermal paste was not there...! I purchased the paste then put it on myself.

DJI technician had made mistake.....If I didn't open it, then for sure my baby will be premature aging.

You should make DJI aware of this. What if they screwed up some other thing that you didn't catch.

Did you take any pictures of the core board with no thermal paste? You still have a cooling fan to lower the temps, but the paste helps in transferring heat to the heat sink.

No. I just quickly put the paste on, couldn't wait to fly it.

That type of mistakes can't be ignored DJI technicians should take it under consideration as soon as possible. Some time ago Thermal paste becomes mandatory for the CPU but the latest am3+ CPU doesn't require it at all as they can handle a large amount of workload easily. I must say it is the time to shift at them and that's the best solution I have.

It is very essential to apply thermal paste whether it is a CPU or IC that reach high temperatures on contact use.
