Congrats! This is the first leaked photo I have seen or heard of. It looks like it has foldable lower legs, just like the Mavic Air, which I hope it doesnt. Those were the Achilles Heel of the Mavic Air.

It's just the bottom sensors on the Mavic Air. You can see them a little better in this progression of photos:

For a moment, I thought they had put the battery on top. One of my minor gripes with the AIR is that you have to pick it up to turn it on. I don't know how I saw that in the video, but I guess a man sees what he wants to see :D

On the AIR, the battery clips on tight, real tight. And you have tactile, audible, and visual feedback to confirm it clipped on properly. DJI designed that part superbly.

I try to be very careful to ensure the battery is properly housed. One time I attempted to fly and got a “battery error”, and the drone refused to fly. Sure enough one side of the latch was showing “red” and the battery was not secured properly. I would hate to think what would have happened if I was allowed to take off.

Without the battery, the AIR is as light as a feather (or two ;)). I don't think it would take much of an impact if it fell on its own. But obviously, it would be much preferable not to find out :)

Well, in my case, I was about to launch it over the edge of a water fall. Pretty sure the fall itself would have been the least of my worries. Lol.

Spark too. But its funny how the batteries NEVER seem to fall out of the Spark or the Air! But on the Mavic Pros, sometimes batteries become unlatched and cause a crash.
are you laughing about the Spark ?! many Spark batteries felt from the sky because of the latch ! DJI redesigned the battery in 2018...
