I found a very small crack om my P-4 about 1/4" Whats the best way to stop it from growing?

Can you share some detailed photos?

If the Crack is near the battery than you have real issues, however if the crack is near a motor or on the arm, I would suggest you get the Phantom 4 Wet Suit which will protect it from Rain and keep it more secure an lock in the battery nice and tight.

Drill a small hole where the crack stops to keep it from getting worse The best fix is replace the part.

Its near the battery

Been awhile since I posted this video but the Wet Suit just might work for you.
I still have a few in stock

I agree with this method....I would fill that hole with plastic cement....as a temporary fix until a replacement can be found...I see a lot of P4s for sale cheap,....you should be ale to track one down and pirate some parts from it

Typically, a very small hole drilled at the very end of the crack is the old method used to prevent the split from going farther. Certainly wouldn’t be good to let the drill bit go in too far into the shell. A more current choice would be superglue.

Drilling may be an effective repair for cracks, but I feel like we might be doing the OP a disservice by offering advice without first seeing the actual damage.

The best way I have found to fix cracks in nearly everything is this:
1). Drill small hole at the end of the crack.
2). "V" out the sides of the crack to provide extra surface area at the crack.
3). Fill the crack and the hole with JB Weld. Feather the JB Weld about 1/4" past both sides of the crack if possible.

Superglue is usually not the best choice. While it's quite strong, it's very weak when lateral (sideways) forces are applied. For example, if you superglue one piece of steel to another, you probably won't be able to pull them apart, but a slight tap sideways with a hammer will easily separate them. JB Weld on the other hand is a very strong epoxy, often stronger than the materials you are gluing together. I have used it not only to fix broken parts but even to fabricate entire replacement parts.

I'm too paranoid to mess with repairs to batteries. I'm sure they are expensive for this model but still.

If you want to avoid drilling through and into something sensitive, get a small drill bit, like 1/32nd and just spin it between your fingers while pressing down instead f using a drill
