Cree ultra bright light

Any thoughts of where one of these lights should be mounted on the Mavic?

A lot of people mount them on the front/back of the Mavic arms. You can mount them using something like 3M Dual Lock or mounts like these.

I've had no problem mounting them on the front right and left rear arm.

I haven't shot enough video at night to see if it affects the camera, but they sure are bright.

Think I am going to go with the 3M dual lock tape. The holders are pretty sweet though

If it doesn't specifically say CREE, then it is NOT a CREE.
The standalone unit is not as bright as the CREE version.
I have both and can easily see the difference

I have my RED CREE velcroed in the rear directly above the big LED lens and my WHITE CREE is in the front directitly above the top of the gimbal.
These 2 locations provided the most direct front and rear facing surfaces

I decided to attempt a short night flight to determine how much the strobe affected the camera.

Unless you're hovering under 2' with the lens pointing down the bleed through is negligible. Great safety item and a big help for orientation.
