DARPA develops a new drone that fires sticky streamers at small drones. The streamers wrap around the props and make the drone drop out of the sky.

Hopefully, they won't develop a 'civilian' version.

Thanks for sharing!

Looks expensive.....for/to both. Best stay away from gov installations, serious about "No Trespassing". Wonder what they use at the White House now after the last drone incursion? ?

If you check at the FAA website for TFR's, you will find that there are some recent TFR's put in effect for UAS operations regarding federal/civil/ state/ first responders/federal/civil and state properties and even for the US ADIZ. The fines imposed for violations are pretty stiff.

They just did. A civilian version would look exactly like this one, perhaps minus sophisticated electronic countermeasures to prevent a hostile element jamming the drone. Coming soon to a no-fly zone near you! And me.
