Data usage for 720 p at around 25 fps seems unusually high.

New to video recording.

2.5 minute video taken with settings mentioned in title used about 500 mb of data. Does that seem high to any of you?

I read a 4 minute video in 2.7 k is about 1.5 GB.

Any insight is much appreciated.

Yeah sounds about right, doing the math comes out to approx. 432MB or 2.88 MB per sec
At 2.7k you are recording 4x times more data so 4x the space needed versus 720P
