DJI Air 2 not starting (looks bricked...)

Hello,

I have not used my DJI Air 2 drone for a long time (9 months). Today I charged all the battery (drone and remote control) and wanted to turn on the drone. Neither the drone nor the remote control can be turned on.

On the drone, the battery flashes for a few seconds, then the light goes out.

On the remote control, same thing. The battery bar turns on, then goes dark.

Both look completely 'bricked' ...

Is anyone familiar with this behavior?

BTW I tried to update the DJI Fly app for my Samsung Galaxy Note20, but there is no official DJI Fly app anymore in the Play Store. ??? Did I miss something important?

Not been in the Play Store since 2020. Just go to Fly/profile/settings/about/check for updates
This is the easy way to update Fly.

Sounds like you have forgotten how to turn on the drone (and remote)
First a short press and release, then immediately a new press and hold for a second or three.

this ^

simply pressing and releasing 1 time does not turn off nor on. it will only show the battery level.

Yeah, easy to forget the button sequence. If I don't fly for a couple of weeks I'll sometimes forget how it goes.

- I did really forget how start the drone!
- I downloaded the .APK for Android from the DJI webpage and installed it
- it does work
- and I got rid of the beeping with a recalibration of the RC!
- Just ended my first test flight!

Nice to know this info cus I haven’t flown my MA2 in awhile either !

Its funny a bit cause everything DJI uses the same method to turn on/off.
