DJI Care - Possible to subscribe long after drone buying

Hi all
I plan to buy a Mini2 on Amazon soon as I have some coupons to use.
But weather is not good, I was planning to start using it from April, when conditions will be better
Also I want to subscribe on DJI site a 2-year DJI care.
So my question : How long can I wait between drone buying and DJI care subscription, assuming that I will not touch at the drone, no pairing, nothing

Honestly, with your stated intentions, I think I would be inclined to delay buying until the better weather arrives, unless bad weather produces a temporary price reduction or the coupons have a limited life span.
The reason being, if you 'buy and wait' you may use up or run out of one, more or less, hassle free possible return route i.e. via Amazon. Besides you might get itchy fingers and be tempted to fly in less than favourable weather!

The care refresh 48hour window starts at activation, so, if you do not activate the drone during the "wait", you should have the full 48hr window open to you along with everything else when the better weather arrives. Even if you let the 48hr window expire there was, and perhaps still is, the option to send in the necessary video etc. evidence that the drone is fully functional but you would have to check whether that approach comes with any reduction in cover.

That said I have seen it suggested that "waiting" may have a limited shelf life, whether that is correct I do not know and perhaps someone does.
A 3 month wait isn't that long and I imagine a drone could easily sit on a shop shelf for 3 months
