I am trying to connect my Mavic 4 to my phone, I want to use the phone as a remote controller. But when I hit the tap the "connection guide" button, all other drones show up except for the Mavic 4. I am in the US so I know the DJI fly app is not supposed to work with the Mavic 4 pro. Is there a work around for this to make the drone think it's in Canada? How can I get the app to work?

Update the Fly app on your phone.

The Mavic 4 Pro only works with the RC 2 and RC Pro 2 controllers. You cannot currently use it with your phone and a RC-N3 controller which should be compatible because it uses O4 transmission. I have asked DJI to add this feature but their response so far is that there is no plans to make it happen.

There is no option for any Mavic drone to be controlled exclusively with a phone, no matter what country you are in. The DJI Fly app on your phone will only allow you to use the phone as a screen and allow you to change camera/video/flight settings but all physical flight controls will still have to be routed through a controller.

Okay I see what you're saying but whatever functionality the app has, I'd like to use it. Per DJI website the app does has interact with the mavic 4.

The DJI Fly app interface was designed to be simplified and ultra-intuitive. Compatible for DJI Mavic 4 Pro (Not yet available in the US and Puerto Rico), DJI Flip, DJI Air 3S, DJI Neo, DJI Avata 2, DJI Mini 4 Pro, DJI Air 3, DJI Mavic 3 Pro, DJI Mini 2 SE, DJI Mini 3, DJI Mavic 3 Classic, DJI Avata, DJI Mini 3 Pro, DJI Mavic 3, DJI Mini SE, DJI Air 2S, DJI FPV, DJI Mini 2, Mavic Air 2, Mavic Mini.

So how do I get the app function on my phone?

You have picked up some odd ideas that are confusing you.
The DJI Fly app works anywhere in the world without any workaround needed.

I don't think you have understood what people have been saying.
The Mavic 4 pro only works with the RC2 or RC2 pro controllers.
Both units have an integrated screen and the DJI Fly app is installed.
So how do I get the app function on my phone?
You don't.
Because either controller has the app, there is no need for a phone as well and it wouldn't give you any extra functionality.
So forget about using the phone because:
1. You don't need it .. and
2. You couldn't connect it anyway.

I'm facing the same issue where the app does not support the Mavic 4 Pro. I'm assuming this is because I'm in the US but cannot find any info anywhere. The US DJI website also has no mention of the Mavic 4 which is very strange.

The link appears in Google results but the link is dead. Some weird s%&t going on here.

The app support the Mavic 4 pro no matter where in the world you are.
Your issue has nothing to do with being located in the US.

Can you explain what you've done and what you are seeing that made you think that the app doesn't work with the drone?

This is because DJI has stopped selling to the USA as a result of difficulties they are having with US government departments and policies.

The Fly App does indeed support the Mavic 4 Pro, no matter where you're located. I've been using it with the Mavic 4 Pro in the US for a couple of months. If you don't see the Mavic 4 Pro listed in the app, you have an old version of the app.

No weirdness, it's just that DJI's website as served up in the US does not deal with the Mini 5 Pro and the Mavic 4 Pro, since they're not selling them here. Use the Canadian version of the DJI website for downloads and support information.

The Neo is the one exception.
The Neo is not a Mavic so I stand by my statement there. Though for complete accuracy, I believe the original Mavic Pro was phone control capable.

Yes, the Mavic Pro could be controlled by a mobile phone using WiFi and with limits to altitude and distance, speed and climb.
