DJI goggles w/smart controller

Has anyone used goggles with smart controller ?
Do you have to pair goggles with drone and after use,re-pair SC to use it ?

The DJI Goggles can wirelessly connect directly to the Mavic 2. Why would you want to connect them to the SC?

I watched a you tube video on DJI goggles being used with Mavic Air and that’s what he had to do ... all videos were from 2017-2018... pre Mavic 2 and Smart controller

I ment to say Mavic pro not Mavic Air ....

I watched a you tube video on DJI goggles being used with Mavic Air and that’s what he had to do

If flying the Mavic Air, the goggles need to be connected to the USB port on the bottom of the remote controller. They cannot connect to the Mavic Air directly.

I am successfully using the original goggles along with the SC and everything works fine. Can make changes to the camera setting through the goggles. Not sure if all the flight modes can be controlled directly through the goggles menus.

Did you have to link it to m2p/z?

How you connect goggles
With cable to SC or you was able to link SC and goggle to M2P
At the same time

Simply follow the instructions. The same way as with the original controller. I am using the RE Goggles with the SC successfully. Moreover the “distance” connections problems disappear with the SC and RE Goggles so I am very happy.

I use my DJI RC Goggles and smart controller all of the time. Once you connect the smart controller, you have to pair the goggles again to the Mavic 2 Pro. The statement that you cannot use the goggles with the smart controller is false. I fly mine all of the time. No usb cable needed.

It works!!!
First connected the SC to the M2P
Then linked the Goggles following the instructions, pushed the link button on the drone that went from green to red.
In a few seconds I had all running perfectly well.
