My guess it is going to be the same as for the Mavic 4 Pro which means it is going to take some time for legit resellers to get small supplies which you will be comfortable buying from. In the meantime, only the alternative places are widely available and the difference is no one knows for sure how the tariffs will work because 1) there are no concrete recent examples to reference and 2) the situation has changed since August and we don't know for sure the impact and 3) no even CBP and the delivery folks (UPS, DHL, FedEx) know what they are doing so it's risky.

if you MUST have one right now, you are welcome to visit the legit Camrise store in NYC where they will sell you one in person for reasonable price.

You should check things before posting.

US, here. Have not seen it.

So I've been talking to the folks at the NYC store over the last couple of weeks about buying an Air3S because my fleet is starting to age out. The lack of Care Refresh availability has been my biggest issue. Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger and visited them yesterday. My old office was a few blocks away and it was bittersweet to remember being there for lots of fun career stuff but also for 9/11. When I went in the store (tiniest thing you can imagine. I've seen closets that were larger) there was nobody else there. The two staffers were very helpful and assured me that the web site was wrong when it showed most items as "out of stock". They did indeed have the basic Air3S that I wanted so my guy went back to get it. Another guy ran into the store and breathlessly asked if they still had any Mini 5 Pro units. They said "yes" and I said "me too!" They said I got the last one available. Blowing smoke? I don't know. Anyway, I left the store with two new aircraft.

The Mini 5 Pro was the Fly More Combo version with the "plus" batteries, which is exactly what I would have chosen. Another very nice surprise was that they are providing a de facto Care Refresh on the new model at no additional cost. Two caveats: you have to send it to them (or drop it off, but I'm in New Hampshire) and it does not include fly-away coverage. Still, that's pretty awesome I think. I asked if this would be shipped off to Texas for repair and he said "no, we will ship you a new unit from our NY warehouse". Fantastic!

After charging all batteries overnight, I spent the morning registering with FAA, attaching ID stickers, making all the settings changes I prefer, and finally flying boths birds about 1/2 hour ago. I have much testing to do before I use these on any jobs, but I'm really happy to have two new aircraft with shiny new warranties, and one with a sort-of Care Refresh!

So yes, you can buy most of the current models at the 5th Avenue DJI store. I did not think to ask about the Mavic 4 Pro as it was not on my radar, but they did have one on display.

While I know that NY and many others see NY as the center of the world, it does make me think how Ironic that the only DJI store that can sell drones, in the US, as well as only in person is located in one of the most restricted cities to fly a drone in.

Pretty ironic. However, it's not an official DJI store but....close enough. They are known as Camrise and consider themselves a flagship store like all the big DJI stores around the world in the big cities. I'm not sure why they don't ship the new launches but they are offering a store plan similar to DJI Care Refresh which is good.

Here's they are on eBay:

Just make sure you understand that if the DJI drone comes from outside the US, you cannot buy Care Refresh and DJI will not service the drone now or later even if the ban is lifted. DJI sells its drone in each country based on local laws and regulation... and DJI Certifies that those drone sold in that country meets all those legal requirements... And it's usually the Firmware that causes the issues…

the reason there is no warranty or refresh is because like most companies they wish to protect their local dealers and grey market things are usually only covered in the country they were imported into by DJI or most of the time the country they were bought in

It is now the new DJI norm, and now I am going to push more of the blame on the company.

That is mostly what I wrote…DJI will only offer the Care Refresh and repair service in the country that the drone is imported into and sold from… Some countries do not have repair facilities and those owners who require repair must send their drone to specific countries, not necessarily the closest one…

There have been numerous postings on this site and other sites where a member bought a DJI drone while traveling and then required repair when they returned home and their local repair facilities refused to service the drone and instructed the owner to send the drone to the country of origin and conversely, member who traveled with their DJI drones and while traveling, needed repair and again, the local DJI facilities refused to accept the drone.

Your statement, "most of the time the country they were bought in" leaves open those drones bought on the gray market…

You should be especially aware of this as a California resident… I live on the east Coast but almost everything I buy has a California Proposition 65 warning label… Hell, even my car has to meet your (California) emission standards or I could not drive there… and it was neither built, imported, nor sold there…

In the old days there were specific California emissions cars and other cars made that did not meet those standards. The problem for the auto makers is that California is far and away the biggest market so it just became easier and more economical to make.all 50 states the same. Back then you could always drive an out of state car in California you just could not register here and if you moved here there is a time limit as to how long you get before you have to register it here. That being said there is a ton of out of state cars owned by people living here.

DJI isn't responsible for the tariffs. Donald J. Trump is responsible for the tariffs. US Customs and Border Protection implements them. There's no blame whatsoever on DJI for US import tariffs.
