Right. Look at the blip in their stock price when that announcement was made. Might be interesting to look at stock purchases just prior to that.

The web page has no content related to products. The stock price is the largest print on the home page. There's no menu tab for products or services, but the Investors tab has seven topics. The summary text for the web search results is still in Spanish.

I posted this article earlier somewhere else in this forum but it is interesting that he is the second largest stock holder with no mention of whether he was gifted that or actually invested it

I read several articles and found no mention of a monetary investment in Unusual Machines. They must really value his assistance on the board to make him such a significant shareholder. Earlier this month he received 1.5 million stock options in The Mixed Martial Arts Group as compensation for becoming a "Strategic Advisor." It's probably just coincidence that the president plans to have a MMA match on the White House lawn as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations.

there is a ton of out of state cars owned by people living here.
And I am sure they all met the California emissions standards now... Just how many of them do you think were made after 1976 when the standard was implemented...

But this is not about cars, or emissions, it's why DJI will not repair any out of country drones and that is simply that DJI certified that all drones sold in a country meets the legal restrictions and if an out of country drone requires a replacement part that has firmware installed, then the repair center might very well be violating the laws and restrictions of the country... Not all that different than removing the emission controls on a vehicle that is required to have it installed...

So you want to carry on this discussion, log onto DJI Forum and we can continue it there, I use the same user name and avatar there also...

It's all coincidences. All of it. Couldn't be corruption. Not possible with such an honest family.

Outside of the fact that it's hard to get any DJI drone easily or without some extra cost, all we have is a ton of speculation and no real facts.

One can post in threads like this one, or make YT videos about what they think is going on, and in every case there are the usual notes, tariffs, some drone company startup that has a Trump on the board that may or may not ever have anything anytime soon, so lets stop DJI, just for that, seems unlikely. There are are even more this and that stories, but so far, most of these really don't add up... and trying to find someone that actually may have some real facts seems to be impossible. I also thought DJI had filed some lawsuit, not sure whether that was true or not or what happened to that if they did?

DJI's recent white paper should have answered any security questions, so it seems unlikely thats the issue, even though someone may still think it does.. the creation of that shows at least a little that DJI tried to defend its hardware and software security..

However, until DJI or some actual US official of some department that actually has a say makes some definitive statements regarding why DJI cannot sell or is not allowed to sell in the US, it's all speculation.

This gets the to the bottomline, on how much risk one is willing to take to get a new DJI drone that maybe hard to repair if you crash it, or how much extra it might cost to get from somewhere else like South Korea, Canada, or how much hassle it may take to get one through customs.

Then there is the Potensic Atom 2 or the SkyRover XL, where did they come from any why are they readily available? What support do they really have... how long will they last here?

Hopefully somewhere along the line, it will get resolved and getting a DJI Drone will return to normal.

Blame them for what exactly? The increase in tariffs were not due to a request by DJI.

In the old days there were specific California emissions cars and other cars made that did not meet those standards. The problem for the auto makers is that California is far and away the biggest market so it just became easier and more economical to make.all 50 states the same. Back then you could always drive an out of state car in California you just could not register here and if you moved here there is a time limit as to how long you get before you have to register it here. That being said there is a ton of out of state cars owned by people living here.
These days, this is less about emissions than the cost of car registrations. In California, you pay a 10% sales tax on car purchases and have to have an annual emissions test. In Montana, there is no sales tax on car purchases, and does not require emissions testing.

California residents have been circumventing the local registration by forming an LLC and having the LLC register the car in a cheaper state.

In CA we get burnt by more than just wildfires. My car registration is over $800 and my insurance is almost $1800/year on a Jeep, mature driver no tickets no accidents. Sales tax varies by county I am at 7.75%. Smog is a non issue, its about $65 every 2 years and only if its over 8 years old. We get ripped at the pump, regular about $4.50-$4.80. Almost $1 is taxes. And now we have the more expensive summer blend like its a special flavor that tastes better. I wish I could get some Montana gas.

And I would like to see the proof of this, and not a bunch of opinions. No one at all can come up with any proof wow big surprise.

One does not have to have a annual emissions test in California that is false, both of our cars are now 6 and 7 years old and it has never been required as of yet. Our diesel powered RV on the other hand has to have one very other year.
Those Montana LLC are illegal
Registration In California is now based on vehicle cost or worth not weight like it used to be.
we also used to have both random vehicle inspection and emissions system check point stops back in the day, that is no more

What proof do you need. t
The tariffs a Trump product as well as the elimination of the $800 exemption on imports. Tariffs are a tax on imports that are payed by the importing company and most of the time those costs are passed on to the customer, They are not payed by any exporting country, that is a fact. Contrary to speeches made there is no new money being brought into the country with tariffs, it is a tax paid by US companies to import product, it effects other nations by making their products more expensive in the US, but they do not pay the tariff.

US Customs at the direction of the Trump administration is claiming that DJI violated the UFLPA which DFJI has provided the evidence showing that is not true, so most all shipment diredtly from DJI are now being held up by customs.

Lastly the possible upcoming ban was in a law passed during the last administration but would only be enforced if the companies subject to that law do not pass a security audit or do not have one done by a government agency by December 31, 2025, No one in this administration will talk to DJI about getting the audit done on time.

So there are your facts, not opinions.

I wonder if it would help if DJI fattened the envelope a little. We know that the Don likes his deals "clean".

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is stopping Chinese products because of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), yet there is no evidence that suggests the drones are made by forced labor, but the CBP has had it's marching orders long before this tariff bs started, AND also don't forget the NDAA thingy about the the DJI Audit.

Tariffs or no tariffs, the drones are still making their way into the USA by other means which is to say some folks are most likely paying the extra fees because it's worth it.

BTW, BooHoo, Trump this , Trump that ( get over it 🤣 !!! )

The US is a big market, it makes sense to sell there. The US is the only place where DJI does not sell anymore. Why do you think that is? It's not too far-fetched to figure out that the current US administration's actions are the cause.
You can look up the last couple years' worth of "China bad" potential bans, then add the tariffs, why even bother anymore. You don't want it, you don't get it then.

Proof of what exactly, I don't get what you're saying, that was a weird statement. I'm in Canada and I'm already flying Mini 5pro, are you ? You got what you voted for. Are you saying that DJI has a problem to supply its potentially biggest customer ? No issues here in Canada and it seems same goes for Europe, go figure :). Blame it on the brutal homegrown chaos.
