DJI Neo (a new 149 gram drone)

I can find the answer to this anywhere. What happens if the 22GB on board memory dies? Can it be replaced and how would that be done?

I searched for a tear down video but couldn't find one to explain the components.

A comment in the video said that there is empty space under the main board that may be used for future stuff?

NEO 2 in the future?

Since the NEO is new to the market, you probably won't find parts yet for replacement.

If all else, send it back to DJI for a replacement if the hard drive fails.

Based on the teardown posts for the NEO, they used surface mounting for the components. None of it would be easily replaceable. To replace the flash memory under warranty, DJI would just replace the motherboard. It would be cheaper for them on the labor.

Unless the Neo was abused, the memory should last longer than other components on the motherboard. That memory should be good for 100,000 write cycles. Excessive heat would reduce that lifespan, but it would degrade the other components as well.
