Hi guys, recently i got an update so i have updated the firmware of DJI Air 3S after the update I’m facing an gps issue and drone is going to alti mode suddenly and not getting controlled is everyone facing the same issues just let me know how to aware of it it’s already happened 3 times for me

You need to re-flash the firmware.
Make sure that when you update:
Check for app updates and install those first!!
Make sure your batteries are at 100 percent (Yes it matters)
Finally Make sure you update everything if possible (Batteries, Controller.)
There are no reported problems with that update.

Please try updating it again by dji assistant once with good internet connection.
And yes as in above comment @Cafguy suggested
Make sure your battery is fully charged before updating the drone

Try your drone outdoors where it has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky and see how it works there.
If it's fine outside, the problem is that where you are trying to fly prevents GPS reception, which can be quite normal when flying indoors.

Lack of GPS reception doesn't have any effect on your control signal or cause the drone to fall.

Even in outside I faced same issue sometimes it’s going up and down suddenly

The IMU and compass have nothing at all to do with GPS reception.
Recalibrating them won't fix the issue.
Hi, Im not referring with the Gps, I was telling the auth. to calibrate those to help stabilize the flight, well I know What I am talking Coz I am tech, both hardware and SW.

It's not normal to have to recalibrate the compass or IMU.
If there was a problem with those, he would have already noticed that and the app would have advised that recalibration was necessary.

Nope, you havnt experience those I think, anyways its my experience and its Yours.

Have you tried moving the mode selector switch from normal to sport while the drone and RC are connected as suggested in another thread in this section? Their very similar problem was solved in this manner.

The drone comes from the factory with a properly calibrated IMU and compass and they don't go out of calibration unless involved in a big crash or you add or remove parts to/from the drone.
In >10 years of hard flying, I've never had to recalibrate either.
Usually when people suggest recalibrating, it's because they've heard DJI's people who suggest it when they have no idea what might be the cause of an issue and want to suggest something.
But if your drone actually needed recalibrating, you would know.

Same experience as Meta4. I really can’t remember ever having calibrated any of my DJI drones IMU’s but a compass once, and for that I made sure I was metal free (no coins, keys, belt buckles etc) in a metal free area and only after moving the drone around to make sure it really needed calibrating.

As I say guys there is no problem with IMU & Compass, actually I have calibrated already but still I’m facing the GPS after I updated to the latest version, Where before the update GPS was showing 0 and the symbol of GPS was not blinking but after the update GPS is showing 0 and the GPS symbol is starting blinking after that I’m getting an issues like this going to alti mode and not getting control on drone later it’s getting control and moving away suddenly without touching the remote don’t know why even in outdoor I faced the issue not hovering in one place it’s moving right side and left side is there any problem with update. I tried downgrading also it’s the same issue so again I updated to the latest version someone please help me with it don’t know what to do. When in indoor event if it goes to alti and get crashed or if it falls on someone it will be a big problem so.

There is nothing anyone can do to help you.
The drone is defective and needs repair or replacement.

Your drone will be in atti mode whenever it has no GPS and cannot conditions are not suitable for the VPS to provide horizontal position holding.

guys please dont tell me its defective or hardware issue ok, before the update it was flying in good condition without any problem or issue ok, but after the update its causing me this issues how can you guys tell its defective or need repair, when i get this issue before the update i would have been agreed ok, before it was good with 0 problems im facing this problems after the recent update . now you guys tell me is it an defective or what?

if im the only one guy facing the issue means i can aknowledge so many of them are facing this issue after an update before the update nobody has got such problems .
