So recently pick up a Mavic Air 2 after trading in my Mini 1. I like the new remote but the bigger size meant utilizing the removable sticks would be needed to pack it as small as possible. But getting the sticks out of there little holders and threaded in place seemed fumble-ly at best. I am often launching from locations where a dropped stick would be a lost stick; like standing in the snow. My sticks now have very short little leashes. I also made a very simple mod to allow for a minimalist neck strap solution using a nice fat shoe lace. I feel the only way to effectively hand launch and catch is with a neck strap. Photos pretty much explain it all..

That's clever! What did you use for the "leashes"?

Cool.

A lanyard for the remote and mini lanyards for the joysticks.

:D

Anyone remember dial cords on older radios? I've had to restring a few of those. That spool looks similar.

Follow up; the stick leashes have proven most useful. I pretty much just flick them out of their pockets with abandon and then thread them in. Dropping a stick here was very likely with cold fingers and finding it would pretty much be impossible.
