There is no FAA requirement as to the design of the tag. Indeed the number can be marked or engraved directly onto the drone. Hence an FAA compliant tag is a laughable concept.

(Or laudable marketing).

OK, I see what you're saying. FAA compliant could be writing it with a Sharpee inside the battery compartment, so the exact method you use is irrelevant. You still have to give the guy credit for making them sound good and all official like.

For biz, I have one of those inexpensive Dymo postal and plastic tape printers. Many colors including clear with black, gold, white text. Black works best. Glue holds up to Florida heat, doesn't dogear or roll off in fitted case...

Also helps me with good battery rotation due to them being number, and you can still see the battery LEDs too.

FYI, I emailed the seller and he happily changed the wording to "REWARD IF FOUND" etc, he even emailed be proofs before printing
