Does iCloud degrade image quality

Hi folks. I don’t know much about photo storage so my question is this, are images stored in say iCloud or Gdrive degraded or compressed and when accessed back onto my computer or iPad at a later date are of a lesser quality than the original jpg or Raw files.

For Gdrive and Gphotoa, you have the options to keep the image as it is or at a smaller degraded state. They give you 15GB of cloud storage. It may seems much, until you consider that this 15GB is shared with Gmail and GPhotos.
