Drone regulations in Bora Bora (Tahiti)

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has the experience of flying a drone in Bora Bora or knowledge of what the laws are.? I will be visiting this month end for vacation and would really like to take my Mavic along to grab some nice aerial footage.

What I was able to found is that as bora bora is part of the French Polynesia French laws apply, so assuming that you aren't a comercial flyer I'll

Yeah you should be able to fly without much problems.

Beware of the new regulations coming mid 2018 in France ! From July 2018, every drone owner will have to register their drone online (if more than 800 grams) and go through a quick online training. Professional drone owners will all need to register their bird online. Makes the Mavic Pro a great pick even more...
