Yeah, NewsMax is pretty bad. It's one thing to have a right wing bias, which is fine if you have that slant, but NewsMax also rates low for accuracy.
Irrelevant to the drone forum, along with the rest of the political jibber-jabberWhat do you think of MSNBC?

Could have easily asked the question in a private message to the person, if you were, truly, just curious.True, was curious.

I just don't know why we as drone pilots have to push that button just because we can legally do so does not me we should... You saw the "law makers" in the video and I can safely say... You do NOT want Washington all up in yours (and the rest of our) business.![]()
'Not the enemy': White House says most mystery drones over NJ were authorized
The myriad of drones seen flying over New Jersey and around the tri-state at the end of 2024 were, for the most part, authorized by the Federal Aviation Agency, the White House said during its first press conference of the Trump administration.www.nbcnewyork.com
Ignorance is our strength.
My friend, transparency is our weakness. Ignorance is our strength.
What do you mean by that? I don't get it.Trickle down leadership at work.
That sounds like fun! A question came to mind. If the drone is flying autonomously without remote ID, is there any radio signal communication with ground controller required?I work in Atlantic City NJ. On Monday I spotted a large mystery drone in person during broad daylight.

I immediately opened Drone Scanner to see if it was transmitting Remote ID. This was located over our closed airport Bader Field.
No luck, it was not transmitting Remote ID.

I went to find the the operators to see if there was a reason they were not transmitting Remote ID.
I found the Army Corp of Engineers testing their new LiDAR drone.
Hybrid powered beast.
They proudly let me look at their drone and expalined they were conducting some training flights with the new system.
It flew by a command case with a fighter pilot stick or fully autonomously.

We just had a full beach nourishment project finish up. Time to survey the results.
Cool thing is I am going to survey the results also with our Mavic 3 Enterprise. Can't wait to compare outputs.
I probably used the wrong wording. For autonomously I should of used flying a preprogrammed flight route. I did not get into too many questions as the gentlemen were busy and I could see that I had interupted them. They did state that they cannot use DJI (DJI's L2 is not as good as their LiDAR anyway) and use Harris since they are a federal agency. That sounds like fun! A question came to mind. I can't see a price for the 4-hour flight time hybrid model.I don't even want to guess what that little jewel costs.
