Drones "Spying" on New Jersey.

A police sergeant in our drone program saw one Thursday night.

He lives in Class C air space.

He saw it as it was only 2 blocks away and he stated it was clearly a drone and was half a car size.
It was flying at under 200 feet in his estimation.

At least its following the LAANC gird in that area. LOL.

Tonight, I again saw the "drones" in the far distance north of me. Again I had Flight Radar 24 up and again there was not manned aviation transmitting ADS B in the area.

I just can't understand why in the world we aren't shooting them down. If I flew a drone anywhere near a military base, you can bet I'd be in jail before the day was over.
Wow, you must be a bad dude. I get approval to fly right next to a Class C Navy airfield.

I'm pretty sure that nefarious actors (or aliens) wouldn't use navigation and anti-collision lighting on their aircraft. But, I guess common sense has left the building and what we have are the "who, what, shoot it down" crowd.

Aliens would be smart enough to try and spoof Earth based aircraft.

There's a very simple explanation as to why these drones have their lights on. They belong to a foreign adversary that is probing our border to see what defenses we have and how we will react. They want us to see them, that is the whole point.

It's already been reported that these drones make almost no noise, don't show up on radar, and don't put out a heat signature that can be seen on infrared. These drones are stealth, and are made for military use. The only way you would know they were present is if they had their lights on.

This is one of the first steps in war, you determine what defense your enemy has before you attack. They want to provoke a response from us so they can see if we have any effective defense against them. It's becoming clear that we don't.

Sorry, I have to disagree. Your government would be making a lot of noise if those were originating from a hostile country. Instead you got the authorities saying no worries, there's no threat to national security. This is obviously your own military testing some stuff up in the air.

I don't think that there's any country in the world that would dare to fly drones over US cities with lights on and at a low altitute without permission from local authorities, since that would be the same as calling for a war.

As Charlie Brown says, "Oh, good grief."

Speculation and extrapolation from unsubstantiated anecdotal reports has now escalated to a state of war?

Finally, someone with more common sense than passion is analyzing the facts!
putting all the facts together, we have these:

no clear pics of these drones
no suspicious activities were noticed on the ground.
not a word about tracking them
not a word about jamming their signal
not a word about using any weapon against them

and i think that they have all the latest techs in the world to do these

and the funny part is that they were very fast and accurate in spotting and aresting that chinese guy using a dji modded drone
but these guys flying big drones with big lights for many times remain unknown

the FAA is being selective in its enforcement of its own regulations, therefore I should not be prosecuted...what is good for the goose, is good for the gander.
You are absolutely correct. A textbook case of "selective enforcement" which absolutely undercuts the moral, regulatory, and prosecutorial authority of the FAA and DOJ.

I am conflicted...I have always supported the FAA and its rulings, but while watching network news on TV earlier there were pictures showing an airport in New York that was closed for a few hours because of drone sightings and some military bases here in the US and in Europe that have reported the presence of drones in what is supposed to be off limits airspace for UAS...these visuals were on the screen with text explaining the presence of drones while a voice in the background is explaining that, according to various agencies of jurisdiction, there is "no threat" or danger from these drones....so this is where my confusion takes over as I wonder; why, ....if we have rules, laws and regulations that are being violated, and there is no threat or danger and absolutely nothing is being done about it....why do we have the laws to begin with?
Excellent points. The FAA has proved itself to be a feckless agency.

Really, so you don't think China would dare to float a Spy Balloon over the US?

If those who say this is our own military, please explain to me why our NATO bases are all on alert after incursions into bases in the UK and Germany. Apparently the military is already taking this seriously, they just aren't announcing it because they don't want to cause alarm.

Let's stick with fact and avoid rumor and gossip. If you want to convince me that all US bases in NATO countries are on alert, you'll need to provide a reference. Tik-Tok and Facebook do not count.

I did once already

"Is this going to expand government control or justify new laws?"

Absolutely YES.

Living proof that anyone can put content on You Tube. Who is this guy? What are his credentials? What is his agenda? Oh, he teaches psy-ops to agencies "and stuff."
