The world's first dual-view goggle for drone pilots, DualVision provides easy transition between Frist person View and Third person View. The Augmented Reality upgrade your flight experience by displaying information before your eyes, making your flight campaign safe and fun.

Looks good. If it can accommodate those of us with nearsightedness and have a true screen focus adjustment unlike what the DJI goggles do not have, it would be great. DJI goggles, and the Epson glasses simply do not work when one wants to share goggles and you have to buy focus inserts or readers to use them.

Also, too bad the Mavic doesn’t have stereo cameras, having true depth perception would be cool. Any updates or something like that? :)

Hi AMann,

Thanks for your kind words. Actually I am also nearsighted and have to wear glasses when flying, thus it wouldn't be a surprise that this goggle can accommodate us. Optics lens is placed far away from eyes and the shield of goggle can bear with glasses unless the spectacleframe is super huge. It is possible to share with friends without adjust anything.

The true depth perception will be cool, while I feel hesitated because of the limitation of current binocular vision technology. For instance, even without any display latency, 3D movies can cause dizziness. It sounds a bit unsafe when flying drones. But we should give a try when DJI released the stereo camera-verion drone.

So I’m not knocking the idea but my $10 VR goggles from Walmart do this. I do have to put my phone into the goggles but it then uses my phone’s camera as the “third person view” camera. Pressing the c1 button on the remote switches from first person to third person view.

Is there something different about this I’m not understanding? How does it connect to the drone?

I’m loving where this technology is going. Imagine if they could implement a bit of a zoom function that would make line of sight easier. Auto zoom that would activate when the drone is in the center of view.

OmG, It looks like MOverios had was crossed with A pair of DJI GOggles, and this is the
result.

Third person view RoFl, thats called first person view, with Augmented View.

You should be able to get that with Moverios, but they are
too software retarted to have a button to use the integrated camera. Oh the SoAR app, but that sucks

I dont know what to say about the Augmented view except that it looks very cheesy and unless it comes
with %75 filter like the Moverios, it will be useless in sunlight. And if you cant use GO/Litchi, then whats the
Point

I am not impressed in a positive way!

eBay: $30 cardboard viewer, Litchi $20, 2k/5.5" minimum phone = First and third person Moverio REsolution. Tada!
And you will look half as odd

Hi,
The price of DualVision will be more than $10 but certainly acceptable for drone pilots. An android device is required to connect with remote control and to be place inside the goggle. And you are right that the Walmart VR goggle is a reasonable option to have FPV experience and to see the outside world.

DualVision is unique because of its optics. Instead of displaying camera image, it adopts a variable-opacity mirror which turns into transparent to show outside. So it is the difference between the 3D perception with naked eyes and 2D sense with camera view. The merit is that depth information captured as if you are watching in a third person view: You can feel the distance between drone and ground when landing. I hope this might clarify your concern about the term “Third Person View”.

OmG, It looks like MOverios had Relations with A pair of DJI GOggles, and this is the

Kill it with Fire!

Hello sir,
I cannot help to launch when you say “had Relationship”. But I think that is exactly how new life will be fertilized. Certainly I will not burn it with fire because I enjoyed the unique flight experience think it deserves more pilots to try.

The character in the User Interface will be English in your device, but Chinese in mine. This depends on the language setting of the device and should not be problem. You are correct there is a filter in DualVision. Instead of fixed opacity of 75%, it is variable to accommodate eyes more comfortable in the sunlight.

Greetings from SynseAero.

I am also looking forward to see where new technology is going. I do like the idea of zoom function and would like to keep it in the wish list. It will also be great to see it is realized even if that was not developted by us.

Another great option in you AR mode would be for the glasses to put a box around the drone. This would alleviate the problem some have when they loose sight of the drone for a bit and have trouble reacquiring it in sight. Would be simple to find straight away and a great safety feature

I didn't mean to rip on your kickstart friend. I thought this was found randomly in someone's surfings.
truth be told i only read the last page of posts, and didn't research it.
I think the Third person claim, and Welding Mask style caused a knee, jerk reaction.

Anzac's immediate enthusiasm for it may have affected my response also.
He has a love for anything drone/glasses related.

I also have no idea what your asking for this, so yep wasnt fair

To be completely honest, my main grips is probably with Epson and the fact that Moverios ($1000 investment), dont include the simple ability to switch the display to the view of the side camera. Solitaire VR Owners will get that bit.

I will take another look closer to release.
Good Luck

My friend I do not mean to be overdefensive. I appreciate your frankness, and you post give me a chance to speak for the features of DualVision. So please feel free to provide your opinions and visions. That is the way we understand the actual reaction of drone pilots instead of developing something nobody wants. Comments and suggestions are very much welcomed.

Best regards

Do you use the Litchi app?
Is there a setting to enable the C1 button?

I actually like this other app called “Mavic FPV” better for VR though. The HUD is more customizable and you can resize and refit the video with your controller so you use the entire device's screen. Litchi’s hud is terrible.

You can also do waypoints in VR which last I check you can’t do in Litchi. 72501

I try not to spoil the fun in the launching day, but I would like to share our same vision: A function called “look up” is developed to assistant pilots to find straight away their drones.

The initial plan is to display a box encompassing the drone, and then it was changed into a 3D pointer (in the center of view) to cover the situation where drone flies behind the pilot’s view.

This function relies on GPS and the gyroscope sensor. We find it works well when the distance exceed 30m (due to the inaccuracy of GPS) and sometimes the gyro can be affected by the environment. Although not fancy accuracy you will find in a fight jet helmet, the “look up” is very helpful for drone pilot. The result is what shown below.

Thanks for your apology! I read your first post in the thread and edited it, then found this post. I see you and the OP have an understanding. :)
