We’re on holiday on an island in Malaysia and we went in an island hopping tour today.
While flying around a fresh water lake in the middle of a remote island I looked up and noticed a Brown Eagle closing in. Quickly put it in sports mode and after a good minute long chase I managed to loose him and safely get back and land. Although he did manage to get within less than a meter of the drone.
Just wanted to say how useful this forum was... I read before that when being attacked by a bird the best thing to do is to gain altitude rather than drop down. Definitely helped me today and might have saved my drone.
While panicking and trying to escape I forgot to hit record as this would have made a great video.
Thanks MavicPilots!
