Hi Folks,
It’s been a while since my photography days. So getting my Mavic Air has sparked me again to do some creative post processing.
However I have discovered that my Adobe PS 5 will not open the Raw files from the Air.
I thought I’ll just purchase an updated version, that’s when I got all annoyed. They either want a yearly or monthly subscription.
Being a Scot, I’m not paying that.
Q. What alternatives are out there ?what do you guys prefer?
Thanks in advance for any help

Affinity Photo. Cheap and very nearly as fully featured as PS. Works really well with MA files too.

For stills I would go for GIMP GIMP - Downloads
And for video I'm using DaVinci Resolve DaVinci Resolve 15 | Blackmagic Design

They're both free, and have a strong support system.
This latest video is a little crazy (and makes some people sick) but it's a good showing of how comprehensive DaVinci is at color grading. It's all graded, but the beginning and end are blown all the way out

A little more traditional, but still some heavy grading in DaVinci:

For stills I am using a 30 day free trial of On 1 Raw 2019 and I like it.
