FAA part 107 Exam

I’ve recently bought a drone and have done the TRUST. However I have no other flight experience and really know nothing about the regulations etc other than a few snippets I’ve picked up from reading other posts online. So I think it seems best to get Part 107 and eliminate a lot of current worries. So my question to others who have taken 107 is what are recommendations for preparation? I’ve been looking at The Pilot Institute online course and wonder if that’s a good option? I have seen some map photos online and have no idea what I’m looking at so maps are a big weak area I need to learn them. Any suggestions? Anyone have experience with The Pilot Institute? Thank you!

I've found the Pilot Institute online resources to be very good, though I used only the free ones rather than the paid Part 107 course.

Here are some other study resources:

I would suggest picking up a sectional chart for your area and using it to study from along with many free study aides on the FAA.gov website. You can download free sectionals, but they are a pain to study from because you have to scroll to the legend and back to the area you are interested in. It does not even have to be current to learn how to read them.
