Fan noise before flight?

Hi I’m new to drones. First drone and first time running.

I turned on Mavic Air and the remote and then did firmware update. I noticed fan noise was quite loud, similar to a MacBook fan noise when the CPU is getting a workout.

Is this normal?

I hadn’t even flown it...

Ok thanks mate. And even for about five mins after I had reset after the firmware update too?

There are a lot of electronics putting off heat in the little guy. The fan running is a good thing, when it is not running is when you need to worry.

Ok thanks. I wasn’t ready for it and didn’t notice any sticker on it to warn that is the case. (Dji have helpfully included stickers for most things on the device lol)
