OK, I checked my drones and their firmware versions and my mini2 has the latest one (01.03.0000) and I just managed to apply the hack without any problem and my AIR 2S has the 02.04.2040 (which is also hackable according to drone-hacks).
I have been reading online that they released one more update for AIR 2S (the 02.04.2060 firmware) which indeed was only meant to block the hack but they took it back and is not prompted anymore even if I manually check for firmware updates through the app.
