Filming a boat/ wakeboarding tips and tricks?

Interested in trying to get some footage of wakeboarding behind my boat, can anyone recommend the best way to get close to the action?
The boat travels at about 35 km/h, I’ve found when I manually fly it I can’t keep a steady/ smooth speed with the joysticks (when the boat hits choppy water etc.)

With active track the subject becomes to far away, is it possible in active track mode to use joysticks to get Mavic closer to subject?

Any advice appreciated

Try the point of interest smart mode, I think I used that and it allows you to just drive the mavic in a direction and it keeps the subject in view.

I thought POI mode was only to orbit a subject ? It would be good to have the speed function on POI mode to fly straight though!
