It's not optical zoom for obvious reasons, the camera on the MA2 does not have a zoom lens as that Mavic 2 Zoom does. Zoom lenses are physical, digital zoom allows you to crop the picture/video digitally as you take it.. not after the fact in post. The difference being that doing it up front may save some work after..

I think there is always some loss of quality in the image, depending on how far you magnify it, though I think DJI is calling it lossless, which I think is not possible.. but the video I've seen on the zoom feature looks very good.

Tilt your camera down , or;
Try a screen recorder like xrecord from play store.
