I heard a rumor that Dr. Phil is opening a new show about drone marriages. It appears his standard “what were you thinking?” Isn’t helping anymore. He’s going to need our help I believe.
Sorry your Mini 4 Pro is a disappointment. But, you can take the return money, buy the Mini 3 PRO (soon they will start discounting them), and get change back. Thank you for the heads up.I've never seen that kind of flare with my Mini 3 Pro. Maybe I was just lucky. If so this goes back. I have 5 other drones I can use. If this is "normal" I'm shocked and very sorry I sold my much better Mini 3 Pro.
Unless there is a real problem with the example you bought, this sounds unlikely.I'm returning my 4 Pro because it's really terrible in the wind. It flies substantially slower than my mini 3 Pro, Mini 3, Air 3 and Mavic 3. I've tested it extensively, flying the same route at the exact same time with the plus battery.
But the "battery overcurrent" is a problem I had with my Mini 3 Pro in SPORT mode only. I'm getting that same warning in NORMAL mode with my 4. Don't have the patience with teething problems and don't really care about the weight since the plus batteries put you over the limit.Unless there is a real problem with the example you bought, this sounds unlikely.
The specs for the Mini 4 show it flying faster in Normal mode and having a little longer battery life.
Being that I fly in the Worst weather conditions , that warning is not really essential in any way as I would go as far to say that this is a standard default , like somone saying be careful. But the "battery overcurrent" is a problem I had with my Mini 3 Pro in SPORT mode only. What worries me is that DJI can't seem to explain what it means because they always pretend like they never heard about the problem before.Being that I fly in the Worst weather conditions , that warning is not really essential in any way as I would go as far to say that this is a standard default , like somone saying be careful.
I know this because I get warning everytime I fly, and nothing ever happens but that your using some extra battery .

DJI support people only work from scripts and aren't very good at providing support. What worries me is that DJI can't seem to explain what it means because they always pretend like they never heard about the problem before.
I live in Arizona. I ALWAYS fly my Mini 3 Pro with an ND64 filter. I do not have a flare problemI'm bummed. Already sold my Mini 3 pro. The Mini 4 Pro has (at least mine did) an unbelievable amount of flare when it is angled anywhere near the sun. I have the FPV, Avata, Mavic Air, Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro and none of them exhibit the kind of extreme flare this does. I flew it and followed up with a flight with my Mavic 3 Pro and it was a world of difference. I am confident it would have been the same with my Mini 3 as I NEVER saw the kind of excessive flair I did with the Mini 4. So sad. Pics later perhaps but I won't keep this and if I asked for an exchange it would probably put me past the return time so it has to go back entirely.
I didn't shoot the exact same footage with my Mav3Pro but I shot a great deal of similar footage and panned across areas much the same. Any time you pan across the sun you can expect -some- flare but it was minimal as it has always been with my FPV, Avata, Mav3, Mav3Pro etc. I have contacted DJI and put in a request for a return and refund.Would have been nice to see the exact same footage withthe M3P. I feel like that angle of the sun and the direction in which you're facing is a difficult position in which not to get lens flare. It actually looks nice, kind of a cinematic effect.
If you HAD a flare problem it would show up with or without the ND Filter.I live in Arizona. I ALWAYS fly my Mini 3 Pro with an ND64 filter. I do not have a flare problem
Even that Air 2s flare would not be shocking to me. The shocking part was when I was 30deg away from the sun and still getting horrible flare. In my video at 35 to 38 sec the sun isn't even close to within my view and the extreme flare shows up throughout my video in various places. If all I got was the flare shown above when shooting right at the sun I would not complain.Huh. I didn't have any flare issues this morning shooting the sunrise with my Mini 4 Pro. I'm not saying there is no flare...there definitely is (you can see the reddish blob to the lower left of the sun in the second shot), but I didn't have what was shown in that video, and this is quite a bit better than the flare on my Air 2S, which is pretty bad in some circumstances.
