Greetings from surf city USA !

I scored a mpp that came with goggles and prop guards!

So stoked to alas have a real quad. Only a few flights in beginner mode so far. I’ve waited a long time for prices to come down with the launch of m2p.

Only have one battery so not sure if I should sell goggles to help buy a used Mavic Pro with a few batteries for 6-700ish.

I don’t see many used batteries for sale by themselves. Goggles are nib yet if I don’t keep them I may not be able to afford them for a long time. What do you think about goggles? They are the white ones not the RE.

Have so many questions I’m not sure where to begin. If someone is willing to talk via telephone I would really appreciate it as could cover far more ground quickly.

1. Not sure why yet today I went to land manually in beginner mode and she stopped and hovered at about two feet. I didn’t see any warnings other than low battery and just couldn’t land for a bit till I just held the left stick down. Landing spot was the same on concrete.
Any idea what’s up?

2. Trying to find exact parts difference between Mavic Pro and mpp. I read the esc and motors are different.
So is the motor and esc a different part number and if so could I install the mp motor or esc without any problems?

I’m rambling and will stop here! Looking forward to learning more flying more and hopefully one day be able to contribute to our forum.

All the best to you and yours everyone!

Greetings and welcome to this forum and your brandnew hobby... feels exciting, doesn' it? ;-)
I really love drones, being in the air (also have white goggles) and shooting amazing photos.

I just can help you on the first question. The drone stops on a safe distance to ground and you have to pull the left trigger (in standard configuration) downwards to activate its automatic landing procedures. It does everything automatically, driven by its sensors, and touches down. So what you experienced was just normal from my point of view... because my MA and M2P do the same, even when I hand-catch-land them :)

Welcome to the Forum ... My best advice is to a) download a copy of the Manual from the DJI website ... DJI Mavic Pro – Specs, Tutorials & Guides – DJI ... Give that a bit of time and a good read. You have a complex piece of kit there and you need to be aware of how it uses its various sensors etc. to do what it does. And b) Google as many youTube videos as you can to get beginners tips about how to prepare your Mavic for [safe!] flight, and simple training exercises to get familiar with how the controls work.
Have fun and enjoy your Mavic ...

Welcome to the forum! :)

Wow! Thank you for the warm welcome and so fast!

Calmar81. What button is the trigger? Do you mean holding the left stick down?

Love to see some of your footage in Germany as I have yet to travel there.

Same for you Fox, UK has beautiful terrain!
A couple of my ham radio buddies are in UK.

I do have the manuals downloaded, watched the tutorials and been enjoying YouTube videos beyond measure! Your right this is one awesome piece of tech.

I started with a tiny toy about a year ago. Best xmas present ever and it was less than 30usd. Couple more after that then a Hubsan 501s. Nice quad for 200usd. This really helped me cut my teeth yet obviously nothing like my mpp.
