Being new at this, I have seen several showings of flight logs and maps. When I checked on it I was told to synchronize to DJI which I did. I wasn't sure if I had to do that or not to see them. I checked sync for one month. Does this mean we are monitored, or can be monitored?

You don't have to synchronize them in order to view them in DJI GO.

It means your local flight logs were uploaded to DJI servers. Does that mean someone there is personally monitoring you? Probably not. They are most likely busy doing more important things.
