Flightrecord for Mini4 not updated when disconnected

You need to point the flat sides towards the drone. Pointing the tips towards the drone is putting the drone into the lowest signal strength area.

Thanks for confirming. In the past two years of forums and Video reviews and "how to" content I only seen this mentioned once.

If you bring up the radar display showing the drone and homepoint in relation to the RC on the RC or phone screen there is an indication of the strongest signal link shown by the drones icon changing color. Strong link is green, weaker link is blue.

It's always mentioned in DJI's manuals. So whenever you buy a new DJI product, it's a good idea to download the manual from their website and get familiar with all the details about your new device.

As to your recommendation to download the user manual to get familiar with all the details, they aren't always accurate.

The DJI User Manual dated 9/15/2025 for the Mini 5 Pro stated it did not broadcast RID with the Intelligent Battery, but it still did and does. Can't always believe what you read in the User Manual. User Manual was updated Monday to delete that statement, leaving everyone that bought the Mini 5 Pro based upon DJI's written representation that it was RID free with the regular battery, with an RID broadcasting drone they would not have otherwise purchased, had the online User Manual accurately represented what was being bought. DJI's response, "We so sorry."

They have a pretty darn good history of being accurate. That's the first example of an error on a significant issue that I've heard of. That one example is no reason not to rely on the manuals.

Agreed. However I just got bitten by that "error on a significant issue" that just happens to be the ONLY reason I purchased the Mini 5 Pro Combo with regular batteries, and also bought a fourth regular battery, that are now of little or no value, because why would anyone buy a regular battery version that still broadcasts RID and still isn't under 250g? For a few dollars more, you can increase the flight time by 50% with the Plus version which operates identically.
