Per the RC 2 manual:can I ask if the antennas on the RC2 are directional in sensitivity?

If interested, you can download the RC 2 manual here.

You need to point the flat sides towards the drone. Pointing the tips towards the drone is putting the drone into the lowest signal strength area.
It's always mentioned in DJI's manuals. So whenever you buy a new DJI product, it's a good idea to download the manual from their website and get familiar with all the details about your new device. In the past two years of forums and Video reviews and "how to" content I only seen this mentioned once
As to your recommendation to download the user manual to get familiar with all the details, they aren't always accurate. It's always mentioned in DJI's manuals. They have a pretty darn good history of being accurate. That's the first example of an error on a significant issue that I've heard of. That one example is no reason not to rely on the manuals. As to your recommendation to download the user manual to get familiar with all the details, they aren't always accurate.
Agreed. However I just got bitten by that "error on a significant issue" that just happens to be the ONLY reason I purchased the Mini 5 Pro Combo with regular batteries, and also bought a fourth regular battery, that are now of little or no value, because why would anyone buy a regular battery version that still broadcasts RID and still isn't under 250g? For a few dollars more, you can increase the flight time by 50% with the Plus version which operates identically. They have a pretty darn good history of being accurate. Please see the comment I replied to above if you need more context. While good advice, there is a lot of information in every manual, and it's quite understandable that DJI veterans might easily miss a thing or two skimming through a manual for a new drone.

On a different note, it's definitely possible to miss some important details when only skimming through DJI manuals. I know it might not be the most exciting task, but I really recommend reading the entire manual from start to finish before flying a new DJI drone. It's a significant investment for most people, and taking that extra time to learn how everything works can really help prevent problems down the road.
Yeah, no worries. I didn't take it as an argument either. I usually figure most people here aren't looking to argue, and that's definitely been my experience with this forum. Not arguing with you, @msinger, nor the correctness of your point.
Sure, and you're not wrong about that. My comment above was just to point out that the information is available in the manuals since the earlier comment made it sound like it couldn't be found anywhere. And I get it, a lot of people probably don't realize the DJI manuals are available on DJI's website.Just acknowleging it can be hard -- sometimes very -- to pay close attention to the same cut/paste section on, say, the different stick modes, without eyeballs glazing over and perhaps missing some new little nugget in something that's been the same manual to manual for many years.
They are harder to find when the drone isn't sold in the U.S. and searching for it generates a 404 error on the main website. Knowing how to change countries is the key to searching on website versions intended for other countries where the drones are sold. And I get it, a lot of people probably don't realize the DJI manuals are available on DJI's website.
