3 miles max for me with clear line of site. I let it RTH when it wanted to and still landed with 38 percent battery. Perfect signal the entire time. It's capable much further.

Yes it will in the right places hit 4.2 easy.

Thanks for pointing out the distance thread. Fun stuff in there! As far as the op goes he was wondering how far we typically get so that's why I posted my "comfort zone" distance. Much less than that with any obstacles or line of sight issues. I can only suspect some sort of obstruction or interference unique to his area. If there's still issues with clear lines of sight and no radio communication interference possibilities it must be defective hardware.
