Flying in Anaheim

Do you have Or have you filed for permission and a background check from the Federal Government?
That is step one depending on how close we are talking MOST if not all of the city Falls under the Disney Land TFR that is not actually temporary but forever! You can call the City Offices and they can provide you with a map of good to fly places there (There aint many) and if its really close to the park (Within a few Miles) Forget it! Unless you have a long time to wait. for all the paperwork to come thru. If it is on Disney owned Property the answer is NO.
BUT its the happiest place on Earth!

Could you just apply to FAA through DroneZone?

If you are flying within 3.5 miles of the Park you have to be vetted by the TSA. The flight restrictions above the park are the same as the White house! Only emergency helicopters are allowed in the zone Not even aircraft are allowed.. If farther away then its just like normal However Anaheim is pretty much a total no fly zone for recreational pilots! Commercial pilots need permission from the Anaheim authorities to do Part 107 in Anaheim. Not easy unless you just doing real estate work.

May want to look into pole aerial photography, some custom rigs can work as high as 50’ AGL. I’ve even legally used them in National Parks.

I heard back from the TSA. Unless you have a signed letter from Disney on their letterhead, they will not grant access. Looks like renting a lift is my next best alternative.

I know a few people that have applied for the right to Film commercially on Disney Property (not with Drones).
The first thing Disney will want to know is if you are a Member of local 600
Disney is a beast!! lol.

Geez, why does Disney have ANY control over NAS?

You're right, you can't fly within 5 miles of Disneyland and it shouldn't be called temporary, because it isn't. Anaheim PD drones do have a waiver to fly over.
