Hi to all fellow pilots,

I am off to Malaysia in January for a short holiday and staying on a farm. This is my first trip to the country and I want to take my Mavic for some photos and a bit of film but from what I have deduced I would need a PPL (private pilots licence) from the authorities. Is this correct ? Can anyone give me some advice?

Many thanks in advance and Seasons Greetings !!

You don't need a PPL as long as your drone weigh under 20kg and you are confident that the drone can be flown n land safely. Putrajaya is the administrative centre and it is listed in the NFZ. Other than that, it should be alright to fly as long as it's safe to fly and privacies are respected.

DCA Malaysia: Drones below 20kg can fly without a permit
Thanks sohph. Is it easy to get batteries in Malaysia ?
