Flying without SD card

Apologies if this was discussed previously..!

Apart from not being able to take photos/videos, is there any other downside/issue with not having the SD card in when flying?

I've flown my MP without an SD card on numerous occasions. No issues as far as I can tell.
I'm not sure it would be a good idea for the flight system to rely on an SD card. Imagine what would happen if it ran out of storage half way through a flight?

You can still capture photos and videos on your phone or tablet without an sd card.

This video is likely lower quality at 720 or 1080, but still quite useful.

you might lost your drone during 10 mins if without sd card your screen on tablet will black out and your drone will auto landing

Uhh what? The Mavic Pro can totally record video without SD card. It has internal memory. Are you guys not aware of this? It's 8GB! That's an entire battery worth of full 4K video.
