Focusing/Metering

This is driving me crazy.

I distinctly remember I could switch from focusing to metering by tapping on the screen.

Although I can still see the metering symbol for a fleeting instant while launching the app (DJI Go 4), I then can't make it show up anymore.

I even have the "Up" function of the 5D button assigned to "Focusing/Metering" but it does absolutely nothing, except for the complimentary annoying "beep".

Can anyone jump in with some ideas?

I agree, I miss the ability to switch from Focusing to Metering and then just tap the screen where I wanted things Metered or Focused.
It's still kind of there, but in a cumbersome fashion. One has to have Manual Focus enabled (a toggle switch in the GO app) and switch to Manual Focus
using the "AF/MF" icon found in the upper right of the camera view. (Touch the "MF" on the "AF/MF" icon).
Then the your 5D button will toggle between Focusing/Metering as you have it set to.
But you will have to manually focus everything, even if one has a C1or C2 button set to "Auto Focus in the center of the screen", (like I do), it will no longer work.
My issue with using Manual Focus, even having an iPad Mini 4, based on lighting and glare I can't always see the object resolution well enough to
manually focus with precision. I prefer to just touch the screen where I want to Auto Focus (or Meter).
Unfortunately, this means switching from Auto Focus to Manual Focus and then switching to Metering in order to be able to tap the screen to Meter.
Then the reverse steps to get back to Auto Focus...

Oh, I see...

I don't think I'll haver use manual focus. It is just another item to control and only have 2 hands with five fingers each (...I think it is the norm... )

So, as I understand it, it used to be available even with AF selected but the switching between focusing and metering is now a strictly-MF functionality...Way to dumb-down the system, I say .
