Getting to be a bit more confident in my Mavic skills. Tried flying in the forest for the first time yesterday, Tripod mode is the only way I'd do it!

Looking good. I too have gotten a little more confident under canopy, especially here in the winter when I can see through the trees a little better. You are exactly right that tripod mode is the only way to go there. I have an area near the house that looks very similar in summer, to where you were flying and it has a lot of fern. I have already been thinking ahead to my own version of a speeder bike ride on Dantooine!

Awesome footage! It’d been cool to found a hole in the canopy and get up above for an aerial 360 shot, then come back down. Looks pretty thick though, lol ;)

Good suggestion--I was looking for a place to fly up a bit more, it is thick as you said, and lots of fine branches to worry about. Then it started to rain...
