Forward motion and braking

I've not yet flown my mavic however while reading the manual I see talk about distance needed for braking. On my yuneec, when I was moving along forward at a swift speed and wanted or needed to stop my forward motion quickly I simply pulled the stick backwards which would flare and stop me almost instantaneously. Can this not be done on the mavic?

It normal flight mode it stops pretty quickly but in Cinematic flight mode it does not brake but rather coasts to a halt and uses a lot of distance, caught me of guard the first time I selected that option, be warned.

It doesn't stop as good as my Inspire. The Inspire can stop on dime.

I turned my braking down to '50', the lowest possible value. It's default of 130 (if memory serves) is too violent and kills your shot (video).

I too turned the braking WAY down.... too abrupt...

After tweaking your settings in DJI GO, test the braking out above all obstacles. That'll show you exactly how much distance is needed for the Mavic to come to a complete stop.
